Quick answer
Peavine Trail, Constellation Trail, the Goldwater Lake loop, and the Lynx Lake loop are the local flat or near-flat options. All under three miles, all accessible to families with strollers or kids who don't hike often.

Peavine Trail

Watson Lake. Flat, wide, gravel rail-trail through the Granite Dells. Strollers, bikes, and dogs all work. Five miles each way to the connector at Sundog Ranch trailhead. Walk as far as you want and turn around.

Constellation Trail

Northeast of Granite Dells. Easy 1.5-mile loop with surprising views and granite boulders to scramble. Less crowded than Peavine.

Goldwater Lake loop

South of town off Senator Highway. Roughly 1.5 miles around the lake. Flat to gentle. Kid-friendly with a playground at the parking area.

Lynx Lake loop

Lynx Lake. About 2.3 miles around the lake. Mostly flat with a few short climbs. Cafe at the trailhead for snacks.

Granite Basin Lake loop

Granite Basin Recreation Area. Roughly 1 mile around the small lake. Granite Mountain views. Easy enough for any age.
