Featured Pro listings on category pages (Prescott Plumbers, Prescott HVAC, Prescott Electricians, and the rest) are paid placements. The businesses that appear in those slots pay HelloPrescott a monthly subscription to be listed. This is how the site is funded.

Featured Pros are clearly marked with a “Featured” or “Sponsored” label so you always know what you’re looking at. We don’t mix paid placements into editorial content without labeling them.

Featured on top, editorial below.

On each category page (for example, Prescott Plumbers), Featured Pros appear in a dedicated “Featured” section at the top. Ordering inside that section is influenced by sponsorship tier and the order businesses signed up, not by any quality ranking system. Where multiple Featured Pros exist at the same tier, we rotate fairly.

Editorial guide content (the hiring guides on each category page, FAQs, and the underlying recommendations on what to look for and what red flags to avoid) is not for sale. We write that to be useful to a real homeowner choosing a contractor, independent of any sponsorship arrangement.

A directory listing, nothing more.

A Featured Pro listing is a paid placement in a local directory. HelloPrescott is not a party to any agreement you enter with a Featured Pro and is not liable for the work performed.

We remove listings for cause.

We remove Featured Pros for any of these reasons: repeated failure to respond to leads from this site, a confirmed misrepresentation in the listing itself (claimed certifications they don’t hold, fake reviews, undisclosed sub-contracting), or a pattern of credible complaints from Prescott residents that the business won’t address. We will remove a Featured Pro mid-billing-cycle when needed. Removed Featured Pros may re-apply after the underlying issue is resolved.

Hotels and tours are separate.

HelloPrescott uses affiliate links elsewhere on the site (hotel bookings through Stay22, tours through Viator, and similar). Those are covered in the affiliate disclosure. Local Services category pages do not use affiliate links; the listings are paid sponsorships directly with the business.
