Constellation Trail
The trail
About 1.5 miles total with options to extend on connecting trails. Mostly flat with a few small climbs. Granite slabs and boulder fields throughout. Multiple side paths to scramble.
Why it stays quieter
Smaller parking area than Watson Lake. Less signage. Most weekend visitors hit Watson first and never make it here.
Parking and access
Small lot off Constellation Road on the east side of the Granite Dells. Free. Fills on weekend mornings.
What to bring
Water, sun protection, and a willingness to scramble on granite. Shoes with grip help. Trail markers exist but route-finding is part of the fun.
Time and difficulty
60 to 90 minutes for the loop. Easy hiking with optional moderate scrambling. Kids over 5 do well; dogs welcome on leash.
