About breweries in Prescott AZ

The Prescott AZ craft-beer scene shrank dramatically after 2022 - Prescott Brewing Company, Lonesome Valley, Insurgent, and Granite Mountain Brewing have all closed. As of 2026 the operating set is small but quality: one downtown brewpub, an open-air biergarten near the airport, a world-rated meadery, and a self-pour taproom that pours regional Arizona craft beer.

LazyG Brewhouse (downtown brewpub)

220 W Leroux Street, just south of Courthouse Square along Granite Creek. Opened 2019 on the grounds of a 1945 trailer park. Has earned medals at both the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. Wide tap list - lagers, IPAs, seasonals - plus a full pub-fare kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, and live music. The flagship brewpub stop in town.

The Prairie Patio at Wren House

6396 Lear Lane, next to Prescott Regional Airport. Open-air biergarten run by Phoenix-based Wren House Brewing, one of Arizona's most respected craft breweries. A walk-up trailer pours fresh Wren House beer onto picnic tables with mountain views and small planes coming in overhead. Outdoor only, weekend-focused, dog-friendly. Food trucks rotate. Open Thursday afternoon through Sunday.

Superstition Meadery (mead, not beer, but essential)

120 W Gurley Street, two blocks from Whiskey Row. Repeatedly ranked among the top meaderies on the planet by RateBeer. The downtown tasting room pours session meads, fruit meads, sparkling meads, barrel-aged stouts, and ciders. Full food menu, dog-friendly patio. The single most-recommended drink-tourism stop in Prescott AZ.

Founding Fathers Collective (self-pour taproom)

218 N Granite Street. Multi-concept downtown space with the largest self-serve tap wall in northern Arizona - 65+ Arizona craft beers including local Malt House Brewing. Same building also houses a coffee bar, barbershop, and gym. Open later than almost anywhere else downtown.

Pair the breweries with a Whiskey Row evening

The historic bars on Whiskey Row (Palace Saloon since 1877, Bird Cage, Matt's Saloon, Hassayampa lounge) all run full beer lists alongside their classic-cocktail strengths. The walk from LazyG up to Whiskey Row and over to Founding Fathers is under a mile total.
